“Understanding Mental Health Challenges in Perimenopausal and Menopausal Women”
Synopsis:
In this talk, we’ll be looking at the mental health issues that women going through perimenopause and menopause might face, from the mild to the severe end of the spectrum. We’ll look at how hormonal changes can make existing mental health issues like anxiety and depression worse, as well as cause new mental health problems. We’ll also look at how to support women with existing severe mental illness and their changing needs.
The discussion will build on your knowledge of symptom recognition in women who may be experiencing heightened emotional distress during this transition. By understanding the interplay between hormonal changes and mental health, healthcare providers can offer earlier and more effective support and tailored treatment options.
Join us to enhance your understanding of these issues, reduce stigma, and empower your patients to navigate their mental health during perimenopause and menopause with confidence, resilience and appropriate support.
