Speakers:

Nick Hazell: With over 15 years of experience in business development across various sectors, with a focus on Private Mental Health and Addictions, I founded Hazell & Partners after 8 years at the Priory Group where I was responsible for private business development – including responsibility for inpatient and outpatient growth. My experience includes promoting the business at 14 Priory hospital sites, therapy centres and private practices. Over the years I developed a vast network of relationships with key referrers in the industry. My approach emphasises networking with GPs, Psychiatrists, Therapists and other clinicians.

Bethany Ashley-Smith: My own journey started as a Mental Health Nurse after qualifying with the University of Southampton in 2006 and specialising in addictions and eating disorders. In 2007 I returned to the University of Bath to study Addictions Therapy as I had grown to love my work as a detoxification nurse and wanted to better understand the needs of my clients to help them heal and grow. Since then I have continued to develop my education with qualifications that feel most valuable and useable with my client group including EMDR, Clinical Sexology and ADHD management. I have worked in both NHS and private healthcare services for the past 20 years, and currently work in private practice and regularly link with other services, utilising my toolbox of nursing and psychotherapy skills.
